\"university<\/a>The University of Technology Sydney MBA, Executive MBA (EMBA) and MBA in Entrepreneurship are offered through the highly regarded UTS Business School.\u00a0UTS Business School offers more than\u00a040 postgraduate courses and over 150 postgraduate business (and related) subjects covering the full breadth of the business and professional worlds \u2013 including the MBA, Executive MBA and MBA in Entrepreneurship programs. The School is AACSB accredited<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Originally starting as a institute of technology, the University of Technology Sydney (UTS) achieved university status in 1988, making it one of the country’s youngest. The educators, however, have roots that reach back as far as the 1960s. Over that time they have grown in size to become one of the country’s biggest universities \u2013 with over 37,000 students currently enrolled. They offer over 130 undergraduate courses and a staggering 210 postgraduate courses. UTS is part of the Australian Technology Network<\/a> of universities: a group of five prominent universities committed to working with industry and government to deliver practical and professional courses. Largely because of their relative youth, they also have some of the most modern facilities \u2013 including 24-hour computer labs.<\/p>\n

The UTS Business School is the largest and one of the oldest faculties at the university and recently received a new addition – the Dr Chau Chak Wing Building building \u2013 a major new $180 million facility which was designed by\u00a0internationally renowned architect Frank Gehry.<\/p>\n

The UTS MBA is driven by relevance to the workplace \u2013 offering subjects that will instil real-world skills into the students. This is achieved through initiatives like reviewing the course regularly and having an industry board approve the subjects offered. It is also designed with flexibility in mind \u2013 allowing students to develop an MBA that matches their employment aspirations. This framework helps create graduates that are some of the most employable in the country.<\/p>\n

University of Technology Sydney MBA Program Structure<\/h2>\n

MBA
\n<\/strong>The program consists of 16 subjects \u2013 totalling 96 credit points \u2013 delivered through the university’s Sydney City campus. Eight of these subjects are core and eight are electives. Classes for core subjects are held during the day as well as in the evening. Electives can be completed through a few options. Students can design a major \u2013 requiring 48 credit points \u2013 or two sub-majors \u2013 requiring 24 credit points each \u2013 or as on sub-major with a mix of other electives. The MBA is normally completed in 2 years full-time or 4 years part-time.<\/p>\n

    The program can be completed in two years full-time or four years of part-time study. Teaching blocks are broken into three sessions. There are two main periods in Autumn and Spring \u2013 starting in February and July respectively \u2013 and a condensed session over summer. The program can also be completed earlier by taking intensive subjects during a Summer session.<\/p>\n

    Executive MBA<\/strong>
    \nThe two part time program is designed for busy managers with the program taking 22 months to complete. It comprises of 11 core subjects and includes an optional Global Immersion Stream. Subjects include intensive residential workshops as well as weekend and weekday classes.<\/p>\n

          MBA in Entrepreneurship<\/strong>
          \nThe one-year full time program is designed to provide students with skills, knowledge and networks needed to become entrepreneurs and innovators.\u00a0The program is structured as three graduate certificates, each comprising 24 credit points. The program has four online core subjects (12 credit points) which have to be completed by students at the first point of entry into the program. The entire program comprises 72 credit points.<\/p>\n

            University of Technology Sydney MBA Requirements<\/h2>\n

            A UTS recognised degree plus one of the following:<\/p>\n

              \n
            • GPA of at least 2.75 out of 4.0 of with less than 10 per cent fail grades; OR<\/li>\n
            • GMAT overall score of 550; minimum scores of verbal 25, quantitative 35 and AWA 4.0m; OR<\/li>\n
            • 4 years full-time relevant work experience. Students can also articulate into the MBA via a UTS recognised Graduate Certificate or Graduate diploma (with a 65% credit average).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n

              Students whose prior education was not conducted in English are required to meet one of the following minimum English language requirements.<\/p>\n
