For the fourth consecutive year, Griffith University\u2019s Business School (GBS) has ranked number one overall in the Top 40\u00a0<\/span>Corporate Knights<\/span><\/i>\u2019 2023 Better World MBA ranking.<\/span><\/p>\n

The ranking recognised Griffith\u2019s Master of Business Administration Program (MBA) as a world-class, values-led educator which imparts holistic purpose in tomorrow\u2019s leaders.<\/span><\/p>\n

This year, Corporate Knights measured Griffith\u2019s MBA curriculum against the top 100 MBAs in the\u00a0<\/span>2023 Financial Times Global MBA ranking<\/span><\/a>, the\u00a0<\/span>Princeton Review Best Green MBA<\/span><\/a>, the Top 40 from the 2022\u00a0<\/span>Corporate Knight\u2019s Better World MBA ranking\u2019<\/span><\/a>, and all current\u00a0<\/span>PRME Champions\u2019<\/span><\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n

GBS MBA Director Professor Stephanie Schleimer said the win is recognition for Griffith\u2019s highly regarded MBA program.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cThis year, the program has been compared to the world\u2019s most progressive MBA programs and the Griffith MBA came out on top once again!\u201d Professor Schleimer said.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cI am overjoyed by this achievement because it\u2019s a celebration of our unique curriculum and how we embrace sustainable values in all our core courses.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cThe ranking also measured the impact of Griffith MBA graduates this year, finding 48 per cent of recent graduates from our fully flexible MBA are influencing society through values-led roles.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cI would like to thank our wonderful staff who work passionately to continuously improve all aspects of the MBA program and who genuinely care for our Griffith MBA community.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

This year\u2019s Better World MBA ranking considered 209 business schools across the world \u2013 50 more than last year \u2013 and focused on one metric: what proportion of the core (mandatory) curriculum addresses concepts of sustainable development.<\/p>\n

While the ranking,\u00a0first conducted in 2010<\/a>, has historically considered the diversity of faculty and the proportion of its research devoted to sustainability issues, this year\u2019s methodology goes back to basics, asking a simple question: what is being taught?<\/p>\n

It credits all core content relating to environmental, social and governance performance, with topics ranging from biodiversity to carbon pricing, Indigenous consultation, child labour, corruption reduction and employment equity.<\/p>\n

Secondary consideration (for a bonus of up to 10%) was given to the percentage of recent graduates who have landed in impact organizations \u2013 defined as non-profits,\u00a0Corporate Knights Global 100<\/a>\u00a0or\u00a0Clean 200 companies,<\/a>\u00a0and any company deriving the majority of its revenues from sustainable activities.<\/p>\n

The results demonstrated consistency among the high achievers. Half of the top 10 schools on this year\u2019s list appeared in last year\u2019s top 10, and the top school, for the fourth year in a row, is Griffith Business School.
