With nine campus locations including Perth, Sydney, Malaysia and Singapore, Curtin boasts a rich diversity of cultures and a commitment to international engagement. With more than\u00a050,000 students, it is one of the largest universities in Australia\u00a0and\u00a0is ranked\u00a0in the top two per cent of universities worldwide by the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.shanghairanking.com\/\">Academic World Ranking of Universities (2015)<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The Curtin University MBA suite of programs is offered through the Curtin Graduate School of Business (CGSB), which is part of the Curtin Business School. The main MBA program offers majors in leadership, strategic procurement and oil and gas.<\/p>\n<p>In February 2015, the Curtin MBA was <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mbanews.com.au\/mba-guide\/accreditation\/\">accredited<\/a> for three years for its MBA program by the EFMD.\u00a0EPAS (EFMD Programme Accreditation System) is based on the same principles as its EQUIS accreditation; including how well the program meets its criteria of successful internationalisation and its high standards in the areas of academic rigour, corporate relevance and quality assurance.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.mbanews.com.au\/curtin-mba-wins-accreditation-renewal\/\">READ: CURTIN WINS ACCREDITATION FOR ANOTHER THREE YEARS<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The Curtin University MBA suite\u00a0is built around the major mining and resources industries of West Australia and offers Australia&#8217;s only specialist MBA in oil and gas management. the MBA is also offered as a double degree with the Master of Science (Mineral and Energy Economics), which is the only double degree of its kind in the world.\u00a0The Curtin Master of Business Administration (Strategic Procurement) is accredited by <a class=\"ext-link\" title=\"\" href=\"http:\/\/www.cips.org\/en\/homepage\/\" rel=\"nofollow\">The Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (Australasia)<\/a> which is the leading body representing the field of procurement and supply management in the region.<\/p>\n<p>There are also options of studying Curtin&#8217;s new Global MBA.<\/p>\n<h2><b>Curtin Global MBA\u00a0<\/b><\/h2>\n<p>In 2015 Curtin launched its MBA (Global) course, specifically targeting students graduating from their undergraduate degree and without work experience.\u00a0The two year full-time (or part-time equivalent) degree is different from other MBAs because it focuses on global markets and practices, and you can take it directly after completing your bachelor degree.<\/p>\n<p>The course starts with a one-week orientation program, introducing you to the program\u2019s faculty and industry advisors, and demonstrating the importance of effective engagement and building relationships in the multicultural, global market. Following orientation, you\u2019ll study 15 course units over four semesters. The units are divided into three categories: core business knowledge; global practice; and analytical practice.\u00a0To apply for the MBA (Global), you must have:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>a recognised bachelor degree in any discipline<\/li>\n<li>a course-weighted average of credit or above<\/li>\n<li>met the University\u2019s English language requirements.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>No work experience is necessary but if you have more than three years work experience in a managerial role, you will be encouraged to apply for the Curtin Graduate School of Business MBA instead, which is tailored to suit established professionals.<\/p>\n<h2><b>Program Structure<\/b><\/h2>\n<p>The flagship Curtin University MBA program has been designed with flexibility in mind. It can be completed on or off the Murray St campus in Perth, or via online studies. It works on 12-week trimesters \u2013 starting January, May and August \u2013 meaning that it can be completed within a year of full-time study. It consists of 12 subjects for the basic program \u2013 totalling 300 credit points.<\/p>\n<p>The amount of core and foundation subjects vary depending on whether students want to specialise in business, oil and gas, leadership or strategic procurement. For example, business students only have two core subjects, but four foundational. Alternatively, oil and gas students have four core and four foundational.\u00a0All programs require participants to complete a subject on strategy and international business competitiveness, followed by a professional portfolio which requires a minimum of 40 hours of professional development.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Study Tours<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>As part of the MBA (Global), students can take advantage of a range of partnerships Curtin has forged with with five highly accredited overseas universities that \u00a0run international MBA postgraduate courses. As part of the program, students may be able to undertake an overseas study tour and gain a realistic understanding of global business practices (attendance on study tours is subject to conditions and entry into a separate agreement with Curtin). Partner institutions include;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Renmin University of China (AACSB accredited)<\/li>\n<li>Indian Institute of Technology Delhi, India<\/li>\n<li>State University of New York<\/li>\n<li>Burgundy School of Business, France (AACSB accredited)<\/li>\n<li>University of Philippines<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><b>Entry Requirements<\/b><\/h2>\n<p>While competitive, entry to Curtin&#8217;s MBA program is flexible enough to include people who have the experience but not the qualifications. For example, high-performing applicants without the academic background may be admitted, but will need to complete bridging units.<\/p>\n<p>Ultimately, selection will be based upon a range of information, including previous academic results, referee reports, relevance of work experience, career aspirations and test results.\u00a0Students will also be required to submit supplementary information with their application, including a resume and referee reports.\u00a0Students may be required to attend an interview as part of the application process. The following is the minimum applicants need to supply:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>An undergraduate degree from a recognised university with a grade-point average of 70% or better<\/li>\n<li>A minimum three years of professional work experience<\/li>\n<li>Basic English language requirements.<\/li>\n<li>Applicants with more than two failures or more than four units with grades below 60% will be excluded from the course.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>All students without a degree in business are required to complete the four foundation MBA units. Students with a degree in business may be eligible for a unit substitution for the foundation units with four additional optional MBA units.<\/p>\n<h2><b>Fees<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><em>MBA<\/em><br \/>\nFor domestic students the annual fee (225 credits) in 2017 is $35,600. The Curtin MBA requires 300 credits, equating to a full course cost of approximately $53,400.\u00a0The total cost will depend on your course options (i.e. units selected and time taken to complete).<\/p>\n<p><em>MBA (Global)<\/em><br \/>\nFor domestic students the MBA (Global) in 2016 is $27,200.
